2012 FIRST SEMESTER SACQSP PRE-EXAMINATION WORKSHOP AND EXAMINATIONS PARTS 1 AND 2

Friday,17th February:

Closing date for admission to the Workshop, supported by proof of remittance of the admission fee

Friday, 24th February:

Workshop to be presented in Midrand.
Wednesday, 7th March: Closing date for admission to the Council examinations, supported by proof of remittance of the admission fee

Thursday, 15th March:

Part 1 Examination

Friday, 16th March:

Part 2 Examination

Please note that the 2011 SACQSP Tariff of Professional Fees and Recommended Hourly Rates to be charged for Quantity Surveying Services (for the Private Sector only) for 2011 remain unchanged .

PROPOSED STATUTORY REGULATORY FRAMEWORK OF THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT PROFESSIONS

During a meeting held on the 5th of May 2011, the DPW unveiled their latest proposals regarding the future of the Councils controlling the built-environment professions. The proposals are contained in a discussion document which highlights the background to- and the changes in policy proposed by the DPW.

It is imperative that all professionals take note of the proposed changes and partake in the debate as the implementation of the policy will definitely impact on their future. For this reason, we publish the following:
